CAMPUS LOCAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING SERVICES

University of Indonesia (UI) prioritizes the provision of healthy and affordable food choices on campus. Recognizing the significance of nutrition in promoting overall wellbeing, UI ensures that its dining facilities offer a diverse selection of nutritious meals at reasonable prices. This commitment underscores UI’s dedication to fostering a supportive environment conducive to healthy eating habits among students, faculty, and staff. This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger, as it aims to alleviate food insecurity and promote healthy eating habits among members of the UI community.

Access to physical health-care services at the University of Indonesia (UI) is underscored by a comprehensive provision encompassing both information dissemination and medical assistance. This is exemplified by the presence of Klinik Satelit located at the Depok and Salemba campuses, serving as accessible points for healthcare and health education dissemination. Furthermore, the presence of the UI Hospital at the Depok campus further augments the provision of healthcare services, catering not only to students but also to academic staff and employees. Through these integrated facilities, UI demonstrates a balanced approach towards healthcare accessibility, ensuring both immediate medical assistance and educational support for maintaining long-term physical well-being within its academic community.

 

In addition to physical health-care services, University of Indonesia (UI) also prioritizes access to sexual and reproductive health-care services. The institution has established Satellite Clinics and the UI Hospital (RS UI) to provide comprehensive health-care facilities. The Satellite Clinics, located at both the Depok and Salemba campuses, serve as accessible points for primary health-care needs and educational resources dissemination, while the UI Hospital at the Depok campus provides specialized care for more complex health issues. Through the integration of these facilities, UI demonstrates its commitment to promoting holistic well-being and ensuring the availability of comprehensive health-care services, including sexual and reproductive health, to its academic community.

University of Indonesia (UI) has also recognizes the critical importance of addressing mental health concerns within its academic community. Acknowledging mental health as a significant issue, UI has established initiatives and facilities to ensure access to mental health services. These efforts include the provision of counseling centers, support groups, and mental health awareness campaigns. The integration of mental health services alongside physical and sexual reproductive health-care services is indicative of UI’s holistic approach to student welfare and well-being. By prioritizing mental health care, UI demonstrates its commitment to addressing the diverse needs of its students, faculty, and staff, and fostering a supportive and inclusive academic environment.
